What is Forest Therapy?

We can be in nature. We can also be with nature. Guided forest therapy offers the opportunity to be with nature. Also called forest bathing, the practice is intended to open our senses and move from our fast-thinking heads to a slower, mindful connection that engages our feeling, being hearts.

Forest therapy creates space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with your inner self. The practice encourages mindfulness, awakens creativity, and fosters a sense of belonging within the natural world.

Approximately two hours in duration, a guided forest walk covers about 1 mile or less. During the walk, Shannon serves as a guide who offers invitations, or opportunities to engage with nature. There are stops for three unique invitations to your senses. After each invitation, an open time of sharing is provided.
